Virgial Abloh × Mercedes-Maybach — Project MAYBACH Limited Edition

Project MAYBACH was born from the visionary collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener and Virgil Abloh. The result: a 6-meter-long, all-electric off-road showcar that redefines luxury in an outdoor context. To complement this vision and make it accessible to the public, a limited edition of 150 Maybach vehicles was created, featuring the showcar’s distinctive design, including its unique color palette.

Together with Recom Berlin we created CGI images of the Project MAYBACH Limited Edition. We developed a visual concept inspired by the strong nature-driven aesthetic of the showcar image series. However, this approach was taken to a new level of stylization: the ground is a sleek black surface with a grid of white lines, creating a deliberately artificial feel. Within this surreal setting, natural elements like rocks and cliff faces are placed, blending the rawness of nature with the precision of design.
