With Project MAYBACH, Virgil Abloh and Mercedes-Benz Chief Designer Gorden Wagener merged the spirit of exploration with high-end luxury, pushing the boundaries of automotive design. They created a six-meter, fully electric off-road coupé, a showcar that truly reimagines the concept of travel, blending rugged off-road capability with refined Maybach elegance.
Project MAYBACH embodies a forward-thinking approach to electric mobility, from its sand-colored exterior to integrated solar cells that extend its range — every detail showcases Abloh’s progressive vision.
To capture the essence of Project MAYBACH and highlight every detail, we created a series of striking images. CGI images, developed by Recom Berlin, placed the vehicle within dramatic natural environments and hard-to-reach landscapes, emphasizing its adventurous spirit. Additionally, the actual car was photographed in a studio by Amos Fricke, with a carefully designed backdrop that seamlessly complements the CGI worlds we created.
These images have been featured across various platforms and press articles during the release of the showcar, reaching millions of people.
